A monumental farce........
90039 & 90035 sat down at Natland with the Dollandsmoor-Irvine loaded china clay tanks. Having dumped its train at Tebay 68016 Fearless was commandeered off the Shap ballast to assist. It was soon found that the 68 couldn't restart the train with two dead 90s and around 1,770 tonnes of china clay on its own. Luckily they managed to get 90035 powered up again to work in tandem as far as Grayrigg to clear the line.
Seen slowly passing Oxenholme 124 late with 68016 in full cry, 90039 dead & 90035 powering, 23/3/2016.
